Angry Duck Studio

Bali Muse is a great jewelry, art and gift shop in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. They carry a large selection of unique, hand-made jewelry, handbags, ceramics and, of course, paintings. I'm sure I'm forgetting other stuff.

Anyway, they're expanding and wanted some local artists' works for their walls. I showed five pieces (The Chief, the new Nordic Landscape, Aerial View, Woman with Book, Woman, Shoulder, Bikini and Pretty Little Meteor) to Dennis, the owner. He liked all five! Dennis is himself a painter, so I'm quite flattered. Yay!

There's a gift shop near me that wants to display three of my paintings. But most of my good wall-hangable stuff is in the other show. So I painted a new canvas -- a twist on Nordic Landscape. This time it's an aerial view, kinda like this photo. But I didn't paint from the photo.

It needs more strength, maybe more black or dark colors. It needs more paint in general, but I'm out of time. I can never tell what people are going to like anyway.
